Remember the Moments

Image
What a crazy month October was. Sadie girl turned one and we had a blast celebrating her birthday. Every gift she got was a noisy toy. Needless to say, my house is now filled with more noise, and I love it.  I love the toys she received.  I love playing with Sadie and making her laugh, watching her think, and trying her hardest to figure out a toy. It's in the simple moments that make my heart swell with love of being a mother. Being a mother is one of the most rewarding gifts from God. I am grateful everyday that I get to do it. But with that being said, it is also one of the hardest jobs I have ever had. Talking to someone who whines what they want, the poop (it's part of motherhood), the not eating, the toll it takes on my body, the sleepless nights, and the teething. It comes in a bundle swaddled in a pink blanket. The moments that matter most is the laughing, the smile, when they first crawl, the first step, feeding themselves, when they think they are funny. and mo...

Save me, San Francisco

Image
For a Fleming Family vacation we went to San Francisco! We had so much fun! Watching a MLB and a NFL game, going to Alcatraz, the Warf, walking down and then up Lombard street (yea I'm that person) and piling 8 people in a 15 passenger van was fantastic! But going on this trip I learned so much of what do when traveling with a baby! I was a mess about the week before trying to plan it all out. When it came down to it I leaned what I did that was great and some things that weren't that great! Do's Take a smaller Diaper bag. I have two different size diaper bags and I took the smaller one. I took just what I needed for baby. Diapers, wipes, food, bottles and spoons. When going through security you can have baby food as long it's sealed, and out of the bag.  Take a stroller with you through the airport, even if you have to transfer planes. The lady checking you in will tag that stroller right up! She slapped a transfer and a pick up at the gate tag and we reached Sa...

A few of my favorite things...

Image
I can't believe summer will be over! The kids are back in school, the air is crisp, and the storms have started. But as the seasons change, I can't help but look back to the last year and feel so blessed. Though we have no money and we are struggling, we have done and seen some great adventures, and the year isn't over yet. I have learned a few things my favorite things include. One, is this jewel came into my life and held onto my heart. She is the reason I get up in the morning (literally!) I can't imagine my life without her! Two is this guy! He makes me laugh when I really don't want to! He helps me calm down, and knows how to encourage me to keep going. I love him more and more. I couldn't of asked for a better best friend! Third, my scriptures. Yes I might get a little religious on you, but it is who I am! I love reading my scriptures I have such a better day and I am nicer to everyone, especially my family! I love going to church and learning...

Summer Might be ending...

Image
I love summer and I hate to see it end. There are still so many things I want to do! Tube down the river, have a campout in the backyard, watch a movie outside. Summer can't be over yet! I remember last summer just waiting for fall to come, so that Sadie baby would get here! Now and want to slow time down and take it in. She'll be one before I know it. With that in mind I took Sadie outside and took her pictures. I have been playing with photoshop and love what I captured. The girl does something to me. I just love her!

That bag!

Image
If you are like me, you have to carry a heavy diaper bag all round. I like my diaper bag. It's convenient, cute, and I picked it out, so I like it. But, without fail I have always forgotten something and it drives me crazy!! A toy, blanket, bib, or just extra diapers. I am a new mom so I am still learning to pack everything for the one and only! So I have come up with a diaper bag check list. You can print it and use it for yourself if you have the same  problem. If I forgot anything please let me know! I would love to hear what are your favorite diaper bags! Don't forget to follow me!

Being Mom

Image
Lately I have been finding myself saying, "It's gross being a mom!" The being sneezed in the face, food flying, and the slobber swap, it's just gross. I learned I am a true mom now by: comes to me when hungry or tired wants me to feed her personal space does NOT exist I take a shower just to have a break While doing dishes I have someone climbing on me pulling out all the DVD's is a great entertainment I can smell a poopy diaper right away My hair is leverage for pulling up on Yet somehow, the smiles, laughs and joy Sadie brings in my life is all worth it. I would not trade being a mom for anything. So, being a mom may have it's hard days, but there is a piece of joy that is found everyday!

Coloring quiet books, & FHE

Image
I have been trying to find easy quiet books for church. We struggle to stay the entire time and I have found a couple coloring pages that might make it easier on us. First, I came across this gem and couldn't get off the internet for 2 hours.  I printed off shapes, alphabet and numbers. I will be printing off church coloring pictures and adding in pages from the Friend Magazine . I have also decided that now is the time to have Family Home Evening. I have made a FHE book. It has stories, pictures and games. I made it out of Friend magazines . ( Click here to see. ) But I couldn't help what the Family Home Evening Resource book was all about. What was in it? Was it easy to use? Was it so old, no one cared anymore? By looking at it, it is old, but old things are great, Right? I thumbed through it last night, and I am super excited to use it. I can't wait! Monday night is not getting here fast enough! Loaded with lessons, games, activities, treats, puzzles, songs, etc. FH...

Sorry I haven't been around, I have been crazy busy! (I believe summer is in full swing!) My Missionary brother, Marshal, came home and it has been a whirlwind of fun. Why such a crazy week? Well that is because my next brother, Tanner, is leaving, today to be exact. We had one week all together! So what made it so crazy? Let me show you! First we had to make a homemade "Welcome Home" Banner.   Then hug him at the airport!  Let him meet his niece for the first time, and last have all 8 people take a selfie photo! (We did it) So here it is the crazy week, are you ready? Pick up Missionary Go Boating (or wait to go boating) Take Family Pictures Go to the temple together Have a Homecoming and a Farewell the Same day and see family and friends. Fitness: Workouts

Image
I am a collector of workouts. I have printed them out and laminated them once (I still have them) and took them to the gym with me. You don't need a personal trainer to make  your workout burn! I have paid for a trainer, done the videos, machines, classes and whatever else you can think of! I have done it all. I have learned what works great for me. Create a workout. I have found Body Building . Scroll down till you find Exercises by Body Part. Click the ones you want and create your own.  Body Rock . She is free P90X. She is hard core. Be prepared to get you butt kicked. Fitness Magazine is one of the best to collect. They have inspirational stories and great workouts.   You don't have to spend a lot, to get the results that you want. Be smart and happy workout! What are your favorite exercises?

Fitness: Clothing

Image
Black yoga pants are my favorite. I change my clothes in the middle of the day just to be in them. They are comfortable. When exercising, the clothes that are worn should be comfy. I bought my clothes at Wal-mart, which has worked out really well for me. I have friends that love lululemon  and Nike. Amazon is also a great place to get clothing as well. When picking out clothing, make sure that it stretches with you, fit comfortably and is breathable. Don't wear clothing that is too tight, too warm or too small. Must have exercise clothing:  Running shoes, or just tennis shoes pants, capris or shorts sports bra t-shirt, or top elastic hair tie Now for shoes. I have izumi pearl running shoes! I love them. I learned that your shoes should be the most comfortable clothing you wear. Your feet shouldn't slip in and out of them, the laces shouldn't be tight, and make sure to untie the shoe laces before pulling out your foot. What is your favorite clothin...

Fitness Week: Food

Image
Let's be honest, food is personal. Secretly I rather eat a snickers than cut an apple. It's just easier. I cook meals that are easy and convenient. But, for some people it isn't as personal. They have trained themselves to eat the salad and not the burger. Either way it plays into fitness. I have found, when I eat more vegetables and fruit, I am not as hungry. I stay full longer. When I down a bag of chips, I am constantly hungry. Does anyone else feel this way? Well for loosing weight I have found a couple tools that have helped me.  One, is a calorie counter. I love My Fitness Pal . I can keep track of my food and exercise, do my own weigh ins and check my progress. It is on the computer and on my phone. I am never without it.  Two, I have found one of the greatest books called Eat This, Not That. It is loaded with all yummy, healthy, make your own food.  I have labeled mine in different categories which are: Healthy Snacks: Trail mix, smoothies, gr...

Health week!

Image
I have decided to post about health week. I have learned a lot about being healthy and have applied it in my life, to some degree. So what motivates me to get going? Two things. One, each time I look at an picture of myself now vs. when I was younger. So is about being thin, flirty and fabulous! NO! It's about feeling better about myself. Who doesn't want that? When I look in the mirror I want to feel fabulous! Two, I want to keep up with my busy-body child. So how does one achieve this? First, grab that calendar! Write down days that allow you to work out. If it's early in the morning or in the late night, it does not matter. When you write it down, don't just put "workout" put what you want to do for your workout. Here is an example: Now you can use this, or you can tailor it to you and your schedule. I personally take two days rest one on Sunday and one on Wednesday. If this looks overwhelming, then scale it back. Do cardio one day and weights t...

We made it!

Image
We made it through our holiday adventure! As a family we went up to Lava Hot Springs, Idaho! We tubed the river, went to the foam fest, watched fireworks some of us slept, played bingo, went fishing and ate S'mores. We had a great time being together as a family! What did you do for the 4th of July?

July Celebrations.

Image
It is coming closer! That day where we eat hot dogs, hamburgers, set off fireworks, and stand in awe of how lucky we are to live in a free country! But how to pull of such a memorable day? You don't have to go far to make a memory. Check you home town. Most cities and towns do festivals on the 4th of July. If your town doesn't check the closest one.  Have a party at you house! Invite you friends and family to come over to celebrate. Whatever you choose to do with you family that day. Speak kindly to each other, choose to have happy memories.  Whatever you choose to do for that day, I hope it is a good one. If you need more ideas about what to do that day check my Pinterest board here . Happy 4th of July!! See you Friday!!

4th Of July Decorations!!

Image
I enjoy decorating my home for the holiday's. I always seem to be decorating for the same holiday's though. Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Valentines. Easter gets skipped over, and 4th of July is a hit and miss. But this year, I decided to actually decorate, and I am glad I did. I am in love with how it turned out. I decided to get creative as well. I had a an old frame sitting a box. I spray painted it red and painted chalkboard paint on the glass (not easy) because 3 coats later, it was done. I pulled out some chipboard letters, used and ink pad to give them texture and color. Hot glued the letters on, then filled in some missing letters with chalk and.....TA-DA!! It is complete!   I hope you enjoy your holiday week and check out my new button on the side and connect with me!!  Come back tomorrow for 4th of July Ideas!!
