Making a Difference

"If you desire to make a difference in the world, you must be different from the world."  -Elaine S. Dalton I'm not popular, I'm not fancy. I am just me. I live a simple life, I am sure like most of you readers. I do laundry (which I despise), I do the dishes, vacuum, and take care of my babies. I had dreams of being the best flutist when I was younger, or going to Africa to help little children.  I dreamed of marrying a handsome man who would take me to the temple, and we would have a home with many children.  I did get married in the temple to a handsome man, I do have a wonderful home, and I have two darling children, but where did all my dreams go. Did I lose me? NO. I still desire to make a difference! I can do this by starting in my own home. Making a difference doesn't mean spending x amount of money on a charity. It doesn't mean giving your spare change to the man on the corner, those are all nice things.  For me making a difference is sta...

October

Like everyone else, I am excited for fall. I love when the seasons change.  I love the fall colors, celebrating Sadie's birthday, and General Conference! What sweet, loving messages I was able to hear today and yesterday. Only good things are shared at conference. My children are growing before my eyes and I am not sure who authorized it. I need to learn to be more content in where I am at in my life. I don't want to wake up one day and start missing the late night feedings, the smeared maple syrup on my table, crumbs everywhere, or the sweet baby cuddles. It goes way to fast to not stop once a day and enjoy what I have. What are some things you love about your life today?

He's Here!

Image
He came, He finally came! Of course that was four weeks ago but none the less he came. It was a Friday night and I was feeling some contractions and before 6 am on Saturday July 19 I had him. He is perfect! I am only writing about now because we have had baby blessings, weddings, bridal showers, birthdays, and anything else in between. But our sweet baby boy is here!

July

Image
I have been waiting for July to come for 9 beautiful months now. I can't believe that it is already here! I have loved summer so far. June was perfect weather, especially for Utah. It was in the 70's and never left. 4th of July came and 100 decided that it needed to greet us. I have never been hotter in my life! So up to the lake we went. We played in the water, Sadie built a sandcastle with Uncle Moe and Auntie Kinz. It was perfect. I love when family comes together for fires, s'mores, swimming, boating, and camping. It is my favorite thing. What are your favorite summer activities?

Too fast.

Time is flying by and I don't even know it. I take in the moment and enjoy every second I can with Sadie. When I had my baby shower when I was pregnant with her, I received a pair of pajamas that seemed huge. The thought I had is that they will fit her when she is 4 years old. Well, last week she wore the pajamas. I was in shock. I could believe that she is not two yet and she is wearing the 4 year old jammies!

Alone time...

Nap time is one of the things I look forward to during the day. At the same time, it is one of the boring moments of my day. My morning is filled with chores, "to-do's" and planning out the day, that when nap time comes, I am left a little bored. I have studied General Conference, eaten lunch, read a book and start thinking of taking a nap myself. Today I have looked through some inspirational blogs, and can't help that I too could make a difference to someone else. I may not be a motivational speaker, a popular blogger, or have thousands of friends. But what I do have is an amazing husband that takes care of our families needs. I have a one of a kind daughter who tests my limits and steals my heart every day. I have the greatest blessing growing inside me, I can't wait to meet him and share my love even more.  I have a calling in the Primary, where I have the opportunity to teach amazing 10 year olds about the Gospel. I have a supportive family that allows me to...

Mommy Probs :(

Yesterday morning I had an ultrasound appointment. I love going and get so excited to my sweet baby. But along with this appointment, came the glucose test, (if you have children you know how yucky it is). Well it was a rough night and I was so tired, when I woke up I only had 20 min before my appointment! My head popped off, I hurried and drank the nasty drink while putting on my makeup and getting dressed. I ran out the door and made it. But, here is the best part, I looked down at my leggings only to find they were inside out! Luckily I was able to fix them before I saw the doctor. The lesson I am trying to say is we all have these kinds of mornings. When someone has inside out leggings they probably are running late! :)

Easter Joy!

Image
Spring is in full bloom. Easter was so much fun. We went to Idaho for Easter (the weather was perfect). We had an Easter egg hunt and colored eggs and ate way too much candy (more than I'll admit). Sadie loved being with other kids close to her age. Love this age she is in.

Spring love!

Image
It is so nice outside and I can't help but the love the spring air! Today I dressed in spring colors and love sitting in the sunshine. I dream of tulips, sprinklers, and butterflies. Life has been busy for us, we found out we are having another little one join our family. I made it to the halfway mark. My last pregnancy I thought I would never make it halfway, and this pregnancy is flying bye. The sweet little one! Ready for spring!  What I look forward to about spring, Easter Egg hunt with Sadie Tulips in my Garden Sunshine Baby bunnies Baby Bumps
