July

Image
I have been waiting for July to come for 9 beautiful months now. I can't believe that it is already here! I have loved summer so far. June was perfect weather, especially for Utah. It was in the 70's and never left. 4th of July came and 100 decided that it needed to greet us. I have never been hotter in my life! So up to the lake we went. We played in the water, Sadie built a sandcastle with Uncle Moe and Auntie Kinz. It was perfect. I love when family comes together for fires, s'mores, swimming, boating, and camping. It is my favorite thing. What are your favorite summer activities?

Health week!

Image
I have decided to post about health week. I have learned a lot about being healthy and have applied it in my life, to some degree. So what motivates me to get going? Two things. One, each time I look at an picture of myself now vs. when I was younger. So is about being thin, flirty and fabulous! NO! It's about feeling better about myself. Who doesn't want that? When I look in the mirror I want to feel fabulous! Two, I want to keep up with my busy-body child. So how does one achieve this? First, grab that calendar! Write down days that allow you to work out. If it's early in the morning or in the late night, it does not matter. When you write it down, don't just put "workout" put what you want to do for your workout. Here is an example: Now you can use this, or you can tailor it to you and your schedule. I personally take two days rest one on Sunday and one on Wednesday. If this looks overwhelming, then scale it back. Do cardio one day and weights t...

This last weekend we had a blast going camping at Cherry Hills and Swimming at Cowabunga Bay! It was a great start to a fabulous summer! Baby's 1st Year!

Image
I love watching Sadie grow during this first year. She is getting bigger and bigger. I have found different ways to document your little bambino growing as well! A monthly picture! Here are some of the different ideas that I have found: One outfit all at different times Add what they have accomplished during that month Or just how old they are! If you don't want to paint one wall in your house chalkboard, then you can paint a cupboard door, like I did! I have also seen scrapbook paper with the month, a post-it, alphabet letters above the head, and much more! Check out my Pintrest board for more ideas on baby bumps and monthly pictures here ! Must Have Apps

I love my iPhone! I can't believe I have gone so long without it! I had an Android which had apps that I liked on it, but when I got my new phone there was so much to choose from! So I have made a list of my top five favorite apps! Instagram! Who doesn't love Instagram! I love how I can change the filters, use text, and share with Twitter and Facebook through Instagram! Not only that but I can upload them to my photo book. Which leads me to... Shutterfly! They are so convient. I can take pictures and automatically upload them to my Shutterfly account! I can get on the computer whenever I want and I am set to work on my family album.  My Baby/My pregnancy. Baby Center is a life saver especially for this first time mom. It tracks my baby growth and what I should be expecting next. It has reminders for doctors appointments and what I should be looking for in my baby! I love it! This one is for mostly women, a Period tracker. I don't know about anyone el...

Play Doh!!

Image
I love play doh, I have since I was a kid! (I smashed it in my moms carpet once) I love the feel the smell  and the bright colors! I found a recipe to make homemade play doh! Here it is: 2 Cups Flour 4 tsp. cream of tartar 2 Cups water 1 Cup salt 2 Tbsp oil Cook over medium heat, stir constantly. As mixture thickens and is too hard to stir, remove from heat and pan and kneed. divide and add food coloring   When it came out of the pan! It was so simple to make! What also makes this fun is PVC pipe to roll out, tongue depressors to cut and cookie cutters.  I keep it in a tupperware container to keep it from drying out.
