Mustache Tattoo

Image
I love my Silhouette Cameo and one of my favorite projects that I have done is make mustache tattoos. Today I will show you how to make temporary tattoos.  First, select the design you. With Silhouette Design Studio, there is an endless supply of designs. Place registration marks, this will help to know where to put the design. Copy and paste as many as you would like, offset the design (this will give it the outline to cut, if you prefer). Print on the white paper of the  printable Tattoo paper  .  **If you have typed words, as in the example below, be sure to mirror your image** Once printed, place the clear sticker sheet on top, place on mat, and cut out the shape. Place on desired area with a wet cloth for 20 seconds. The paper will slide off and your image will remain! My kids thought these where the greatest things! We Played all afternoon with our fake mustaches.  These are great for kids birthday parties, family get...

Zipper Bag!

Image
I love to try new techniques with sewing, so when I saw this great tutorial on making a zipper bag, I knew I had to try it. I love the way it turned out! My favorite part is the cute light pink zipper. Who doesn't need another bag? Once it was made I added some HTV to it just to make it more special. Make sure to mirror the image with HTV. Iron on and BAM! A custom made bag. It is addicting to make such cute bags. I hope you have a great day! The inside lining is so charming!

Hello!!

Image
I have been wanting to give my throw pillows a new look, without breaking the bank. So I quickly made a new slip cover for my pillow. Pick a design in the Silhouette studio, and adjust to the size needed. Example my pillow was 17 1/2" and the heat transfer vinyl (HTV) I had was 9x12. I tried my best to get the image to fill all of the material so it would look right on the pillow. Once you get the size you need, test it out on a piece of paper to ensure that is the correct size. **BE SURE TO FLIP YOUR IMAGE** Cut out your image, weed, place on material and press HARD! Place the cover on the pillow and ta-da a whole new pillow!!

Mother's Day Gift

Image
With Mother's Day around the corner, I needed to come up with a gift for my mom. So I came up with the perfect gift. Every month when my children turned another month older, I took their picture. (I only did this the first year.) My mom loves them and has been wanting to have the all, so why not make her a book. In Silhouette Studio I used the Amy Robison mini album design. Adjust to the size you want. Fill the page with the image and cut out as many as you need. For the cover, I cut out two pieces of card stock and glued them together. *I did learn to check the direction of your paper for the back cover. It could end up upside down. Cut out the circle and embellish. Now you have a cute mini album all ready to go for your mom!! Happy Mother's Day to all you great moms and women!

Inspire Board!

Image
We just moved into our new house, and I have my old desk back that needed to be spruced up. So I took some of my favorite magnets, sayings to give it some creative life! I love stationary, my family and quotes that uplift me. I love that this part of the desk is a dry erase and a magnet board. It make it great. The heart say, "One day at a time," a freebe from Heidi Swapp.  I created the deer antlers and the flower box in Silhouette studio. What are some things that inspire you?

Gold Deer

Image
I was walking through the craft store, when adorable gold deer stickers caught my eye. As I stood there deciding if it would fit in my weekly craft budget, I realized I could make some at home... so I did!!!! Supplies: Silhouette Cameo Sticker Paper Laser Printer Minc  Gold Foil Designs: Basic circle Deer Design# 108337 First, make the circle 1"x1" and color black. Make another circle 0.9"x0.9" and color white. Add the deer in side the circle, color black, and center in the align window.  Offset the outer circle. This is easier when there is one design, instead of a page full page to offset. To get it really close, use offset 0.02.  Add the registration marks, and then click the "Replication button" and at the bottom click fill page. (It is best to have the registration marks first before filling the page). Print off on the laser printer.  Turn on the Minc Machine. (I set mine to a 4).  Lay the gold foil...
