Journals: Baby

Image
Lately I have been feeling the need to journal everything. Probably because my great grandparents and grandparents have given me nothing of their lives other than cookware and dishes! (I want pictures and stories.) First of all, I have several journals I have kept throughout the years. Second, I have multiple ways of keeping memories. Today I am showing you what I have done for my Sadie. When I was pregnant, I had a lot  of ultrasounds. We moved from St. George to Ogden and I doubled by ultrasound pictures! So I made a flip book! It was simple. I cut the paper the size I wanted (6x6) Printed on clear labels dates, and what the pictures are. Next, I made a Sutterfly book of her first month. Including hospital pictures and newborn pics. Shutterfly sent me serval free book coupons for just having a baby! Love looking through this. Last but not least, I document milestones Sadie accomplishes in memory journal. I found this one at Wal-Mart. I write in it mont...

Must Have Apps

Image
I love my iPhone! I can't believe I have gone so long without it! I had an Android which had apps that I liked on it, but when I got my new phone there was so much to choose from! So I have made a list of my top five favorite apps! Instagram! Who doesn't love Instagram! I love how I can change the filters, use text, and share with Twitter and Facebook through Instagram! Not only that but I can upload them to my photo book. Which leads me to... Shutterfly! They are so convient. I can take pictures and automatically upload them to my Shutterfly account! I can get on the computer whenever I want and I am set to work on my family album.  My Baby/My pregnancy. Baby Center is a life saver especially for this first time mom. It tracks my baby growth and what I should be expecting next. It has reminders for doctors appointments and what I should be looking for in my baby! I love it! This one is for mostly women, a Period tracker. I don't know about anyone el...

General Conference

Image
Just because General Conference is over doesn't mean it can be forgotten about! There are several ways that you can review General Conference! Listen or watch on your computer! Click  here  to get to the website! Listen while you exercise! I do this while I am on the treadmill and I get through 2-3 talks by the time I am done! While you listen follow along in the Ensign. Highlight points that stand out to you. Write personal revelation you received while listening. If you took notes durning conference review your notes and see what you can add to them. (The notes I printed were from sugardoodle.net)  Whatever method you choose, will make your day ten times brighter! What do you do to remember General Conference?

These cookies are devine! I don't make them often, but when I do YUM! I got the recipe from 101 Gourmet Cookies for Everyone by Wendy Paul! She has so many cookies that are fun and delicious! My Hand so Tiny, So small!

Image
For this Mother's Day I made the play doh, pressed Sadie's hand in it, baked it and gave it to my mothers. It was a huge it! It will work for anything occasion for your mother. Grandparents day, birthday, Christmas or just for fun. I used a marker for the writing and a paperclip in the top to hang it by. Yes I did put the wrong date! But it still works! Happy Creating!

Play Doh!!

Image
I love play doh, I have since I was a kid! (I smashed it in my moms carpet once) I love the feel the smell  and the bright colors! I found a recipe to make homemade play doh! Here it is: 2 Cups Flour 4 tsp. cream of tartar 2 Cups water 1 Cup salt 2 Tbsp oil Cook over medium heat, stir constantly. As mixture thickens and is too hard to stir, remove from heat and pan and kneed. divide and add food coloring   When it came out of the pan! It was so simple to make! What also makes this fun is PVC pipe to roll out, tongue depressors to cut and cookie cutters.  I keep it in a tupperware container to keep it from drying out.
